It is my hope that by creating this index you will be able to locate slaves and slave owners more easily.  Many of those searching do not know what county or nation slave owners were in during the enumeration of the slave schedules.  A few slave owners had more than one farms/plantations, with some in different counties/districts.  I have compiled this list from the 1860 Slave Schedule, which can be found  at the end of the 1860 Arkansas census (Indian Lands); located at the National Archives or your local genealogy libraries.  They are also on this site listed as Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek and Cherokee Slave.
