�/b�Urbana relatives have received word of the death of Mrs. Charlotte Jane Hendrix. 96, probably the oldest resident of Paris, Ill, two weeks a go.
She was the daughter of Edward and Kathine Minturn and was born on the Minturn farm east of Urbana, July �i�2, �/i�1833. Shortly after her marriage to W. S. Hen drix, a veteran of the Civil �i�war, �/i�they moved to Illinois. Mrs. Hendrix made her home in Paris many years. Fier husband preceded her in death about 30 years ago.
Despite her age Mrs. Hendrix retained her faculties to the end and talked in an interesting way of many of the wonderful changes which have come in the middle west during her long life. She joined the Methodist church when a girl and attended church regularly up to a few weeks ago when she became too feeble to make the trip.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews in Champaign county, among whom are Mrs. C. A, Harmstead, �u��b��i�Mrs. Harry Stadle�/u��/b��/i�r, Mrs. J. E. Studebaker, and Mrs. Ella Williams of Urbana.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Paris, IIL.., and burial made in the cemetery there.
