1900 Germain Piano Co., Saginaw, Michigan

Germain Piano Co. was owned and operated by my great grandfather and my grandfather, and his brothers. I have a catalog from the company showing a complete line of pianos, from uprights to grands. The company later became Germain Bros. Company of Saginaw, and during the 1920's was the worlds' largest producer of wooden toilet seats-- over 1,500,000 per year! Also, my great grandfather owned a large lumber and millwork company in the 1880s which burned down during the fire of 1893. I have a news clipping about this. He subsequently rebuilt the business and started making pianos. I would be interested in any other information you might have about any of the Germain companies. Thank you, Tom Germain
