Saginaw's Past

View across the main floor of the M.W. Tanner Co.
This was my great grandfather Martin Wilbur Tanner Senior's
shop. I believe it closed during the crash of the 1930s.
His son, my grandfather, Martin Wilbur Tanner Jr, continued to live in
Saginaw. He was a business man who had an advertsising company, Tanner,
Willox and Fairchild. He was also an artist and a motor racer who built his own
cars. M.W Tanner senior was I believe one of the founders, or original trustees
of The Saginaw Club or Saginaw Country Club among other things. The shop sold
everything possible including clothes from
Paris I think.
Yours sincerely,
Pandora Smith
