I am looking for birth, marriage and death info on Victor DEOGRACIAS, supposedly born in the Canary Islands but settled in St. Bernard Parish, LA. He married Florence NUÑEZ and had a daughter, Mathilda, in 1895, who married Henry Campo, possibly in Ostrica, LA. Their daughter, Rose, is my grandmother. On the CAMPO side, I am seeking info on Antonio Campo, m. Marie Delphine MOLERO on Feb. 11, 1822. Their son, Manuel, m. Adele RODRIQ(G)UES, dau. Of Santiago Rodriques and Maria GONZALES. I am not certain that the Campos are of the Canary Isles but feel sure the Deogracias and Nuñez are. Any help, info or direction offered is much appreciated.

Marie Delphine Molera, born 27-VIII-1806, died before October 1867; married 11-II-1822, in St. Bernard, LA. Antonio Campo, son of Francisco Campo and Leonor Cubas. Daughter of Manuel Joaquín Molero, born if Icod de los Vinos, Tenerife, Islas Canarias, and Ana María-del-Carmen Alfonso y Colorado; paternal granddaughter of Cristóbal Luis Molero y Acevedo, and Josefa Nicolasa Alayón y Bermejo; maternal granddaughter of Felipe Alfonso and Francisca Colorado.

My ancestor came from the town of La Victoria in Tenerife. He moved to Nueva Barcelona in Venezuela and later (1816) came to San German, Puerto Rico. His name is Domingo Perdomo Rodriguez son of Domingo Perdomo and Agustina Rodriguez from Tenerife.

Tengo entendido que el apellido Casañas proviene de Italia originalmente. De allí algunos se trasladan a España y otros a las Islas Canarias. Aparecen en la isla El Hierro para el siglo en el siglo XVI. Supuéstamente Don Juan Casañas obtuvo la posición de "Síndico Personero General de EL Hierro". Otro miembro de la familia, Don Guillermo Antonio Casañas y Luis se hubicó en Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. Otro miembro de esta familia Luis Casañas y Gonzales de Chavez, capitán de la infantería contrajo nupcias con Ana Margarita Cullen y Lugo en 1943. Su hermana Don Antonio María fué comandante la la infantería. Agradecería a algún amigo de las islas El Hierro o Tenerife o cualquier persona que me pudiera ayudar a verificar esta información.
Hasta la fecha parece que el apellido DONATE ha desaparecido en las Islas Canarias. Aunque unos dicen que provienen de Las Palmas mis records indican que mi bis-abuelo era de Granadilla de Abona. Cualquier persona que tenga conocimientos de este apellido por favor escríbame.
