Help Wanted

Peter G. Byford	We are stuck at two Roberts born around 1670, one was probably the illegitimate son of Elizabeth of MAPPOWDER. The two Roberts had families, one in Melcombe Horsey the other (the one my wife descends from ) in Puddletown. These two have a large descendants tree each , and yes they are two different people. We have drawn blanks in finding anything more about the parentage of these two Roberts or any other ancestors, any information about HOUSEs in this area earlier than 1700 would be useful.
Michelle Davies	My brick walls are WILLIAM BROWN and his wife FANNY. I can not find their marriage or baptisms. From the census' I have that William BROWN was born in Farnham Dorset c1800 and Fanny was born Sixpenny Handley c1895. I have not been able to find them in either of the Parish records. They lived in Farnham and their 3 children were all born there, Louisa Brown c1827, Sophia Brown c1829 and Darius Brown c1834, I have not been able to find their baptisms either. Any help gratefully received. Thank you.
Rachael Brown	Trying to find out about my great grandfathers parents and grandparents. My great grandfather details are as follows Thomas albion HUSSEY born 15th aug 1858 in Bridport harbour houses Burton Bradstock Dorset, son of Thomas HUSSEYand Ann nee ENGLAND. I think I have found Ann's parents but am completely stuck on Thomas who and where he came from. Any help would be great. I have gone down the wrong road twice already. Thanks
Meredith Crowhurst	I’m trying to establish a link between my ancestor, George Howard LOCKYER and a female from the HOWARD family (related to the Dukes’ of Norfolk), which would link my ancestry into the longest known tree in England. These two records would help me greatly if they contain the name and details of the mother of George Howard LOCKYER: 1. Birth of George Howard LOCKYER 9^th Jan 1805 in Poole, Dorset, England 2. Marriage of George Howard LOCKYER to Sarah Lock 16^th Aug 1825 Great Canford, Dorset, England. There were apparently two sisters (Ladies Howard) who lived in Poole and took in their nephew or great nephew George Howard LOCKYER when his father Captain Nicholas LOCKYER died at sea aboard the Albion (with all his papers). They disinherited George when he turned from Roman Catholicism to Anglo-catholicism and became a businessman instead of joining the navy as he was destined to do. The ladies left all their money to the Roman Catholic church and went to live in a leper colony. Any knowledge of these facts would also be helpful. As I live in Australia it is difficult for me to look up the records myself so any help would be greatly appreciated.
David and Tina Cozens	I am trying to locate information about Thomas and Betsy COZENS (both 39 years old) who were listed in the Shipping Lists to South Australia in 1854 as being former residents of Cranbourne, Dorset and born in Wiltshire. They were listed as farm labourers. Thomas had 2 children, George who was 18 and born in Dorset, and Mary, who was 12 and also born in Dorset. Thomas' first wife was Mary and died when she was 25. John Tanner	I am researching my HARDY family tree. At various times they were mainly connected with Woolcombe, Melbury Bubb and Puddletown. I am seeking information on John HARDY, born Woolcombe 1644, died 1715, and was married to Lucy ??? 1680, who died in Melbury Bubb, where their children were born. I would like to know who John HARDY's parents were and where they came from. I would be grateful for any help.
