St. Andrew's was originally a Norman church with possibly a 13th Century Norman tower on the North-east, almost completely rebuilt in 1859 by J. W. Hugall. A new aisle was built in John Briggs in 1839 but this must also have been remodelled. The North vestry was added in 1903.
The church now consists of a fairly spacious nave, chancel, South aisle with transverse gables, South porch, and North-east tower. The South aisle has polished granite columns and elaborately carved capitals with foliage. The font comprises a 14th Century plain octagonal bowl on a modern pillar and plinth. There are stained glass windows in the chancel by Francis Skeat and were installed in 1963.
