St. Bartholomew's consists of chancel, nave, south porch and west tower. Begun in 1845 from plans by Charles Dyer of Bristol, it was finished by William Butterfield and consecrated in 1850. It is built of freestone with Bath stone dressings. The rough interior walls are now painted. The church has a fine trussed timber roof. There is stained glass by Powell.
