Tidenham Parish Church

St. Mary's is in Early English and Dec style. It has a rugged Early English west tower, which in the past served as a beacon for navigation in the Severn estuary. The tower has small single lancet windows in the south and west faces of the lower stage. The south porch with an upper chamber was rebuilt in the 19th C. The south doorway has jamb shafts with stiff-leaf capitals. The font is one of Gloucestershire's six Late 12th C lead fonts and is mounted on a late 19th C stone base. The stained glass east window of the church is by Geoffrey Web
