St. Peter's was completely rebuilt in the 16th Century in the late medieval style. The font is one of the finest Norman fonts in existence. Made between 1130 and 1140 it depicts eleven of the Twelve Apostles, each identifiable by the tools of his trade. The twelth space, for Judas Escariot, faces North and is left blank, as if he had never been. The font was previously in the chapel of Elmore Court. There are some early 16th Century fragments of stained glass incorporated in a nave window. There is a fine table tomb in the churchyard.
Rendcomb House. The estate passed from the Berkeleys to the Guise family in 1635. In 1864 the Guises sold the estate to Sir Francis Goldsmid who arranged to have a new house built by Thomas Cubitt & Co. In 1920 it became a school. The mansion was built in an Italianate style, unusual for the Cotswolds.
