St. John the Baptist's, 1834 is by H. Rumley. The west tower, with spire restored in 1923 is by Hartland Thomas. The embattled nave of five bays has galleries on the west, east and north sides. The roof has a wide span with ribbed plaster vaults over the nave. The galleries are of the same height and windows lighting the galleries are Dec style; those in the aisles below are plain. The church has a dramatic interior.
