St. Mary the Virgin's church has a nave with wagon roof and clerestory. The 12th C north and south arcades have piers with sculptured capitals. There is a fine Norman archway on the north side of the nave complete with carved beak-heads and chevrons. This archway has probably been relocated from its assumed original position as south doorway. The font is a scraped Norman circular tub. The lower section of the tower is mid 13th C, the upper stage is Perp with battlements. The church is built of sandstone. The stained glass east window is by Percy Bacon in 1908.
