The church contains Early English architecture which is rare in Gloucestershire. The nave and north aisle are the same width. The tower is in four stages with an embattled top. There is a central arcade with five bays and chamfered rectangular piers. The church was restored in 1879-80 by F.S. Waller. The big font is of this date and the other, pedestal-style, font is 18th C. In the churchyard there is one of the finest table-tombs in the county, and several others nearly as good, of 17th and 18th C date; particular fine figure carving in relief, mourners, Time, Death, and other symbolic and Renaissance details. Painswick stone, suitable for deep undercutting, is used, with Minchinhampton stone tops.
