The church is decicated to St. Margaret of Antioch. The original church dates from the 13th C but was extensively rebuilt in the 13th C and further modernisation and enlargement was carried out in the 16th and 17th Centuries. The rectangular wooden bell tower with hipped roof is a Victorian replacement of an original dating from the 1700s or earlier. The most striking feature of the church is the 13th C chancel arch. The walls on either side of this chancel arch are pierced by large square-headed squints, giving views of the altar. The columns have finely moulded bases and scalloped capitals decorated with rectangular patterns. The South doorway is a fine 12th C piece, with the distinctive pattern of the chancel arch repeated on the shafts and lintel. It has a plain tympanum. The octagonal stone font is simply moulded and of original 13 C date. The base is Victorian.
