This is the last Will and Testament of me Alice Russell of the parish of Sithney in the County of Cornwall Widow ~

I Direct my Executor hereinafter named within two months after my death to make seal and Deliver unto my Son James Russell a good and Sufficient Lease for forty one years if the Lives of the Principles shall so long live and the term therein continue of All those Houses and Mills with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging Except the House and Gardens now in my own occupation in the possession of the said James Russell situate in Sithney aforesaid under the yearly rent of Thirty Five Pounds of lawful money payable quarterly free and clean of and from all rates taxes and outgoings whatsoever the Conventionary rent only excepted and in which said Premises with Liberty of entering to view the said Premises, and which said lease with a Counterpart to be executed by the said James Russell shall be prepared at the joint Expence of him and my Executor. But in the case the said James Russell shall refuse or neglect to execute such Counterpart of a lease so as aforesaid for two months next after my death and shall and do give up the possession of all the said premises quietly to my Executor. Then and not otherwise I give unto my said Son James Russell Two Pounds P ann: during so much of the term now unexpired which I have in the said mills and premises as he shall happen to live.

I give unto my Son in Law John Russell Twenty Shillings P ann: during so much of the term now unexpired in the said mills and premises as he shall happen to live.

I give unto my Daughter Alice the wife of Thomas Ivey Twenty Shillings P ann: during so much of the term now unexpired in the said Mills and premises as she shall happen to live.

I give unto my Daughter Amey the wife of John Nettle the sum of Twenty Shillings P ann: during so much of the term now unexpired in the said Mills and premises as she shall happen to live.

I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth the wife of William Wear the House Garden and Potatoe Garden now in my own occupation To hold to her and her Executors Administrators and Assigns for and during the remainder of the term I have therein free and clean of and from all Conventionary and other Rents Rates Taxes and outgoings whatsoever. And I give unto my said Daughter Elizabeth, the Bedstead feather Bed and Beding in the Hall Chamber with all potatoes fuel and wood I may have at the time of my Death. And I also give unto my said daughter Elizabeth the sum of Three Pounds P ann: for and during so much of the term as she shall live which is now unexpired in the said mills and premises.

And I hereby will and direct that the said Mills and Premises shall be charged and chargeable with the payment of the said several Annuities for and during the respective Lives of the said several Annuitants in case the term and Interest which I now have in the said Mills shall so long continue. And if the said several Annuities or any or either of them shall be behind and unpaid by the space of thirty days next after every Six months the first to be computed from the time of my death and which Annuities I will shall be equally divided into half yearly payments, Then I will that it shall be lawful for the person or persons who shall be so left in arrear to enter on the said Mills and Premises except the said Dwelling House and Gardens so given as aforesaid to my said Daughter Elizabeth and to make Distress and Distresses and to impound sell and dispose thereof as Distress or Distresses taken on any demise Lease or contract.

 I give unto Ruth my Servant One Guinea besides her wages if she is living with me at the time of my death.

I give all my wearing apparel and cloaths to my three Daughters and to be equally divided between them by my Executor and at his discretion.

All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattles Rights Credits and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and Bequeath unto my Son William Russell whom I do hereby appoint my whole and Sole Executor, hereby revoking all former Wills. In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament put my hand and Seal this fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy eight.
