A Fine Lady on her White Horse, Ride a Cock Horse

On April 27th 2005, the Princess Royal unveiled the statue of the Fine Lady on her White Horse.

It is a one-and-a-quarter life-sized bronze statue featuring the Fine Lady sitting side-saddle on her mount, a striking welsh cob, as a symbol of springtime, with one of her arms raised, scattering flowers.

Her horse is swishing his tail and is decorated with a soft white patina to match the famous nursery rhyme.

Beneath the statue, which is mounted on a 2ft high Hornton Stone and bronze plinth, the words of the nursery rhyme are carved for everyone to enjoy.
