Samuel Charles ALSFORDb. 1876 d. 1948 1893 Joined the Royal Marines Light Infantry in Portsmouth transferred to the Royal Navy 1st April 1903; transferred to Royal Naval Reserves 1917 demobilized 18-5-1920 as Master at Arms Sydney Melbourne Matthew ALSFORDb. 10-11-1914 d. 29-11-1989 WWII from 1939 to 1945 in the Royal Engineers; he was at Dunkirk; North Africa; and landing in Sicily into Italy where he sustained his final injury and was hospitalized then until end of the war. |
