Banbury Cakes
In the 1930's we used to travel by steam train to my Mum's old home in Lincolnshire and I remember there used to be a young lad with a barrow walking up and down the platform shouting "Banbury Cakes" passengers used to buy them through the carriage windows. They were packed in boxes the same shape as "Browns Cake shop."
I have a post card with a price list advertising Betts Banbury Cakes by parcel post, post free.
