Alfred Beesley, 1841

While I was doing some research into the whereabouts of Castle Gardens in Banbury where my GG Grandfather, William French, born 1802, used to live, I stumbled upon a really interesting book called "The History of Banbury" by Alfred Beesley (1841). In it I came across the only article I have ever seen (page 431) which mentions where Castle Gardens was. I was really pleased I had found it.

So if anyone would like to read the book the following link will get you there:

The History of Banbury

To read it, the best way is to click on this address, then on the left hand side of the page you will see "See other formats". Click on this and choose "PDF", click on it and choose whether you just want to read it or download it.

For those of you who are interested, there is also a name and address of the person who owned the book on its title page, maybe its one of your ancesters
