The Bromyard and District Local History Society, based in Bromyard, Herefordshire and founded in 1966, exists to foster interest, enjoyment, research and publication in the field of our local history.

We offer members a varied programme of events, at least monthly, throughout the year. These are mainly illustrated lectures in the winter and guided outings in the summer. We stage an exhibition every year at the Bromyard Gala and have published a number of books. An annual journal contains articles on local history and accounts of our activities.

We also run a research room with a  research service, which is open to the public that houses a large and growing collection of records appertaining to Bromyard and surrounding parishes.

We now have open our new exhibition room, which is currently showing an exhibition of Victorian Bromyard.

The opening times for the History Centre at 5 Sherford Street Bromyard are:

Thursday & Friday  10.00 till 12.30  &  2.00 till 4.30  and  Saturday mornings  10.00 till 12.30
