Mr. Roy Wright Eiland -- Funeral services were held from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Thursday October 22, 1998 at 11:00am, with Rev. Mike Bedford officiating. Honorary pallbearers were the Fishers of Men Sunday School class of College Park Baptist Church. Active pallbearers were the grandsons, Shelby D. Eiland Jr, W. Bruce Eiland, C Roy Eiland, M. Kevin Mills, Jeffery W. Eiland and Joseph W. Eiland. Interment was in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mildred Fendley Eiland - A native of Loango, AL, a longtime resident of Eight Mile, AL died Monday, July 27, 2009 in a local hospital at the age of 92. She was a member of College Park Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wright Eiland; son, Shelby Eiland, Sr.; Survivors include two children, Sue (Joe) Mills, Semmes, AL and Kenneth (Candace) Eiland, Theodore, AL; daughter-in-law, Pat Eiland; seven grandchildren, Shelby (Leisa) Eiland, Jr., Bruce (Terri) Eiland, Roy (Stacey) Eiland, Kevin (Lisa) Mills, Tina (Sam) Rascoe, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Eiland and Joseph (Christy) Eiland; twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the College Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
