Henke, Fred W of Thorndale. Age 59. Died 9/1972 (sat) (in paper 9/7/1972) enroute to the Taylor hospital following a long illness. Services held (Sunday) from the Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev Paul McCallum of Rockdale officiated. Condra Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born 2/24/1913 in Rockdale, the second son of Anna Seidel Henke and the late William J. Henke. Moved to Thorndale in early childhood and received his education in the Thorndale Schools. He was a Catholic and a veteran of WW-2. Resided with his mother since his return from War. Preceded in death by his father, 12/24/1953 and brother, Lee, on 12/1/1971. Survivors: Mother, Mrs. Anna Henke of Thorndale; brother, Eddie Henke of Corpus Christi; nephew and grandnephew, both of Corpus Christi.
