Jackson, Clifford L of Sarasota, Fl Age 76. Died 10/14/1987 (Wed) at Bay PInes Veterans Medical Center. Services held 1/16 (Friday) at Toale Bros. Colonial Chapel and Crematory in Sarasota. He was born in Salty, the son of John and Anner Jackson, and grew up in the Pleasant Retreat Comm. Went into the armed services in 1939 and settled in Sarasota, Fl. when he came out of the Navy and lived there until his death. Retired chef for several Florida area restaurants. Member of Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 3; VFW post 3233; American Legion Post 266; member of AARP, All of Sarasota; attended St Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors: Vera M Jackson; son, Jack L of Jacksonville, NC; 3 daughters, Wanda J Jackson, Annina Sparpana and Dianna Mitchell, All of Sarasota, Fl.; brother, Andrew of Austin, 3 sisters, Thelma Byrum of Tyler, Maurine McCoy of Taylor and Bernice Owens of Austin, 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
