About David Lee Caffey:
DAVID LEE CAFFEY, Loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend passed away into the loving hands
of God on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September
19, 1947 in Bay City, Texas to Earl and Jean Caffey.
He is survived by his best friend and loving
wife of 35 years Joan Caffey; daughters Jennifer and Lisa Caffey; son David Caffey Jr.; parents Earl
and Jean Caffey; brothers John and Troy Caffey; sister Brenda Ivey. as well as numerous other amazing
and caring friends and family.
David served as a Specialist 3 Class in the US Army before meeting
his wonderful wife Joan. He then was a System's Analyst for Shell Oil Company for 25 years. He retired
from Comdisco where he was a project manager. David proudly served his community and neighborhood as
a Water Board Director for the Rolling Fork Public Utility District. He was a member of Foundry United
Methodist Church. David is best remembered for his love of traveling with his wife and children, fishing,
and golfing. He always made people smile and feel welcome, and encouraged others to just enjoy life.
