ROCKDALE - Services for Adolph McVoy Jr., 87, of Rockdale are set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Rockdale. Burial will be at Rockdale I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Mr. McVoy died Saturday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. He was the owner and operator of the McVoy Grocery & Feed Store in Rockdale from 1943 to his retirement in 1999. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda McVoy of Rockdale; three daughters and a son-in-law, Janice and Bobby Pelzel and Lori McVoy, all of Rockdale, and Mary Jo Bennett of Conroe; a sister, Winnie Leona McVoy of Rockdale; a niece; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
