Robert Edward "Hit" Turnipseed
Services for Robert Edward "Hit" Turnipseed, 65, of Troy who died at his home Sunday, May 23, 2004 will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 26 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Clifford Mathews officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in the Ebenezer Community under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Turnipseed was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, Robert and Annie Turnipseed; brother, Fred Turnipseed; sister, Doris Squire and a stepson, Danny Dawkins.

Survivors include sisters, Gena Murphy and her husband, Donald of Pine Level and Jamie Newman of Troy; brothers and their wives, Ned and Charlotte Turnipseed of Montgomery and Ted and Robbie Turnipseed of Briar Hill; stepdaughters and their husbands, Elaine and Steve Kline, Patricia and Bobby Cole and Janet and Tom Wilkerson; grandchildren, Jon Jason Finch, Mathew Mark Green, Robert Devon Wilkerson and Travin Tyler Wilkerson and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mike Benton, Billy May, Comer Lee Phelps, Reuben Squire, Charlie Turnipseed and Devan Wilkerson.
