About Delma Harris Turnipseed:
HONEY GROVE Delma Harris Turnipseed, 70, of Honey Grove died Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral
services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at McKenzie United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ann
Barton officiating. Burial follows in Windom Cemetery under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral
Home. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was born
April 20, 1936, in Dallas, the son of Delma Franklin Turnipseed and Jessie Lorene Harris. He married
Aletha Ann Aringdale on Oct. 4, 1975, in Dallas. His occupation was Public Works Department. He was
a member of Philathea Sunday school class, and served in Marine Corp. during the Korean War.
He
is survived by his wife, Ann Turnipseed of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Renee Turnipseed
of Georgia Community; daughter, Susan Yoder of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Michael Farrell
of Garland; three step-sons and wives, Steve and Dedra Kraft of Las Cruces, N.M., Douglas and Melody
Buller of Garland, and Thomas and Carol Buller of Mesquite; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
brother, Franklin Turnipseed of Honey Grove and a sister, Nellwyn Junell of Southlake.
Pallbearers
will be Heath Campbell, Dale Williams, Jerry Sanders, Bryan McCarty, Gary Mullins and Robert Webb.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McKenzie United Methodist Church.
