Jackson, Darrell (or Daryl) Lee of Austin. Age 28. Died 11/18/1974 (Monday) of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the home of his father in Lexington. Services held (Wed) 11/20 from Phillips & Luckey Funeral Chapel in Rockdale. Burial in family plot in Salty Cemetery near Thorndale. Rev Gary McManue of Byron E Reeves officiated. Phillips & Luckey, Rockdale, in charge of arrangements. Darrell was born 4/16/1946 in Milam, the son of Hubert and Myrtle Bownds Jackson. He attended Thorndale Public School and graduated with the class of 1965. He was a fine athlete and participated in all sports during his high school days. Married Connie Sue Mucha on 4/5/1969 at Taylor. He was an electrician for Columbia Scientific Industry.
