About Luther M Jackson:

Jackson, Luther M of Rockdale. Age 77. Died 7/1964. Service held (Tuesday) at the Phllilps & Luckey Funeral Chapel in Rockdale. Burial in Salty Cemetery. Rev George Doss assisted by Rev Howard Baldwin officiated. Grandsons were pallbearers: Kenneth Caffey, Charles Caffey, Dwayne Jackson, Billy Van Jackson, Maxie G Jackson, Donnie Jackson and Andy Jackson. He was Born 2/17/1887 in Alabama the son of M/M Frank Jackson. With his parents he came to Texas when he was 2 years old. Married Miss Catherine Storey in 1909 who survives him. He was a farmer of vocation and lived in the Salty Comm. and in Rockdale. Survivors: Wife, Catherine Jackson; 2 daughters, Mrs Claude (Bernice) Caffey and Mrs C.A. (Alta Ray) Caffey both of Thorndale; 6 sons, Hubert Jackson of Thorndale, Van Jackson of Pasadena, Conrad Jackson and Roy Jackson both of Galena Park, Monroe Jackson and Floyd Jackson, both of Rockdale; brother, Albert of Rockdale; 3 sisters, Mrs. John (Irene) Berry and Mrs Frank (Ninnie) Williams, both of Thorndale and Mrs Ollie Copeland of Rockdale; 33 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; number of nieces and nephews.
