Mrs. Mary Eiland Claimed By Death

Mrs. Mary L. Eiland, 80, for many years a resident of Fresno and vicinity, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Curtis Neal, 384 Thesia Street, early to-day. Death was the result of a heart attack. Mrs. Eiland was taken ill Friday.

A native of Texas, Mrs. Eiland came to California in 1888, settling first near Templeton, San Luis Obispo County, but moving to Fowler a short time later. She had lived in Fresno for approximately thirty years. She was born August 29th, 1852.

She leaves three sons, John W. Eiland and Edward F. Eiland, both of Taft, and Elbie W. Eiland of Fresno, deputy county clerk; two daughters, Mrs. Neal and Mrs. Charles L. Palmer; ten grandsons and two granddaughters.

Mrs. Eiland was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and of Fresno Circle No. 18, Neighbors of Woodcraft. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday at the chapel of Stephens and Bean. rev. D. L. Moffatt will officiate
