About Howard Eiland:
Howard Eiland, 88, of Andalusia died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, in an Andalusia hospital. A funeral was
held Monday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Cole and Rev. John Eiland officiating.
Music was provided by Ed Carlson, soloist, and Sue Reeves, pianist. Burial followed in Andalusia Memorial
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children?s Home. Survivors include
his wife, Lucile Eiland of Andalusia, a son and daughter-in-law, John and Linda Eiland of Andalusia;
a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Tom Steele of Andalusia, a step-son, Johnny Jordan of Newton;
a step-daughter, Ramona Pritchett of Theodore; then grandchildren, eight great-grand children; a sister
Lillie Dunn of Opp; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl
Eiland. Pallbearers were Buddy Brannon, Vick Brannon, Greil Chesser, Donald Lord, Richard Gilchrist
and Steve Wiggins.

Mrs. Minnie Pearl Eiland, 65, a resident of 337 Dunson St., Andalusia, died Sunday, Feb 3, 1985, in
a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb 5, at 1:30 p.m. from Foreman Funeral
Home Chapel in Andalusia with the Rev. John Foster and the Rev. J.W. Coker officiating. Burial will
be at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Howard Eiland, Andalusia; one son,
John H. Eiland, Andalusia; one daughter, Martha Steele, Elba; one brother Clarence Wiggins, Rt. 8,
Andalusia; two sisters, Ollie Ferguson, Troy; Rubie Venable, Los Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren; and
a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Buddy Brannon, Al Earnest, Ed Cauthren, Tom Dozier,
Donald Maddox and Junior Dozier.
