Funeral services for well known Shreveport realtor and developer Frank Wright Grigsby were held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Grigsby, 65, 900 Candler Ave., died at 4 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 1977 in Schumpert Medical Center after a long illness.

The Winnfield native had been a resident of Shreveport for 33 years during which time he was active in professional, civic, and religious activities.

He had been in the real estate business for 1 years and developed North Highlands and South Ridge subdivisions.

He was a graduate of Louisiana State University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. During World War II he served in the infantry four years. He was a lieutenant colonel in the retired reserves.

Mr. Grigsby was a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers and was qualified as an expert witness in district courts in five parishes.

A member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Mr. Grigsby was an active member of its vestry for five terms.

He was a charter member of the North Shreveport Lions Club. His other memberships included the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Cotillion Club, Royal Club, Demoiselle Club, and Shreveport Country Club.

Mr. Grigsby has served as an area chairman of the Norwella Council of the Boy Scouts of America annual fund drive and served as vice president of the Shreveport Association for the Blind for two years.

Mr. Grigsby is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eleanor Hodge Grigsby; two sons, Tobin Grigsby and Francis Grigsby; a daughter, Mrs. Jon Evans; a sister, Mrs. Lenora Coorpender, and four grandchildren, all of Shreveport.

Officiating for the service was the Rev. J. Frederick Patton, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He was assisted by the Rev. Richard J. Burns, assistant rector.
