Doris V. Williams Eiland
Eiland, Doris V. Williams Age 77, of Mpls., passed away peacefully at North Memorial Hospice on Oct. 24, 2011. Doris worked 16 years as an elementary teacher with the Minneapolis Public Schools receiving many accolades. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray M. Eiland; her brother, John Williams, and her parents, John & Rosie Lee Williams. She is survived by her children, David (Karen J.), Kathleen (Hal), Karen, Elaine and Lori; grandchildren, Alexis, Olivia, Miles, Nicholas, Devan, Jade, Simone, Jon and London. She also leaves behind a sister, Betty Jean (James) Chandler; brother, Melvin Williams, and aunts, Annie V. Carter and Salmella Wynn; as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Tues., Nov. 1 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 3355 - 4th Ave No., Mpls. Homecoming service to immediately follow. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
