About Carie Marie Eiland:
Carie Marie Dover, 78, of Auburndale, Fla., died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Lakeland Regional Medical
Center due to heart failure. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Kersey
Funeral Home. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Fairview Cemetery No. 2 in Addison.
Kersey Funeral Home will direct.
She was born Aug. 19, 1929 in Winston County to the late Edward
and Minnie Taylor Eiland. She was a homemaker, past member of the Church of God, past Sunday School
teacher, avid cook, quilter and loved to sew. She was a resident of Auburndale since 2001 after moving
from Cordova.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wylie David
Dover; daughter, Jean Palmer; brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Carolyn) Puckett
of Hamilton, Michael Lamar Puckett of Hillsville, Mich., and David Dover of Lake Wales, Fla.; daughters,
Brenda Armstrong of Cordova, and Sheila Wilson of Auburndale; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren;
and one great-great-grandchild. The family requests memorial donations be made in Mrs. Dover?s name
to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., 2000 L Street Northwest, Suite 710, Washington, D.C., 20036.
