Henry L. Eiland 1923-2009 Mississippi. to Youngstown, Ohio
YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - Services will be Saturday,
Oct. 10, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. at Phillips Chapel Church of God In Christ for Deacon Henry L. Eiland,
86, who entered eternal life on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Eiland
was born March 15, 1923 in Wiona, Mississippi, a son of Lynn Eiland and Willie Mae Love. He had been
employed with Republic Hose, retiring in the late 1980?s. He was also employed with McIntee Motors,
and was a child care provider for Mahoning County Job and Family Services. He was a member of Prayer
Tower C.O.G.I.C., its Deacon Board, Sunday School Superintendent, and the Board of Directors. He was
an Army veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, the former Lucy O?Bryant,
whom he married July 4, 1948; his children, Henrietta Eiland (Vincent) Cameron of Poland, Ohio; James
E. (Loretta), Clement L. (Judy), Ricky (Patricia), Johnny R. and Joy Eiland Frazier, all of Youngstown,
Ohio; the Rev. Roger (Ruth) and Yolanda Eiland, both of Grand Prairie, Texas and Laletha Eiland of
Arlington, Texas; three sisters, Lula M. Ratcliff, Florence Lee and Mary Dorris. all of Kilmichael,
Miss.; a brother, James Eiland of St. Louis, Missouri; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and
a host of family and friends.
Besides his parents, Lynn Eiland and Willie Mae Campbell, he was
preceded in death by a son, the Rev. Timothy Eiland; and two brothers and Joe Arnold Eiland.
