John Lunsford Barnes is an elusive individual. His older brother Robert went to fight in the Civil War,
and then never returned. According to Mabelle, John Lunsford Barnes daughter, still alive, Robert came
back decades later to visit, he had been living in Tx John Lunsford's father died around 1860, possibly
in the Civil War. His mother remarried a man whose last name was Smith. The family moved to Jay, Florida
