About Gordon Eiland:

Macon Beacon, Macon Mississippi, October 6 1911
Sad Death of Infant
On the evening of Wednesday the 5th, Gordon, the eighteen months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Ovid Eiland died just as he was brought to the physicians' office for treatment. He had been ailing only a few hours and was not thought seriously ill till late in the afternoon when he became seriously affected. He was hurried to town but before anything could be done the little fellow was beyond earthly aid. He was a bright, handsome, child, and the sympathy of all who knew them go out to the bereaved parents.
