Edith Ruth Caffey Leshikar's funeral was held on August 13, 2003 at the Lakewood Funeral Home at 2 PM
with opening prayer by Dr. James H. Peiter, and scripture (23rd Psalm by Reverend Rosemary Behrens.

She was a charter member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Lake Jackson, Texas.
She was an area resident since 1941..Valasco, Freeport, and then Lake Jackson. She worked at Dow Chemical
and retired after 25 years service. She began the PTA at Velasco Elementary School. She was a member
of the "Pink Ladies" She was a loving, caring and devoted mother, granmother and great-granmother..........[.Sister
and Aunt! And Daughter!!] She was preceded in death by a spouse of 67years, Edward W. Leshikar. Her
parents were: Charles and Hettie Frances (Fannie) Caffey. Sisters: Ethel Ford (of Taylor), Myrtis Desby
(most recently of Elgin), Ellen Corinne Johnson (Early of Taylor, but most of her life she and all her
family lived in Austin, Texas) , Marie Carter (of Taylor but mainly of Elgin, Tx). Brothers: Roy,
Ollie, Earl and Ralph Caffey.
Son: Bill Leshikar and wife Clara ("Curlie") of Lake Jackson.
Steven Leshikar and wife Emily of Coppell, Tx;
Judy Leshikar of Florence, South Caroline; Beth Brannan
and husband, Dale of Austin, Texas.
Great-Grandchildren: Amanda, David and Elizabeth Leshikar
and Travis Brannan
She was born on April 11, l913 and passed from this life on August 10, 2003.
