About Elmo Walter Bauerschlag:

Elmo Bauerschlag, 92, of Thorndale died December 22, 2004 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Trinity Methodist Church in Thorndale.
Mr. Bauerschlag was born July 26, 1912 to William and Lydia (Scholl) Bauerschlag south of San Marcos in Redwood, Texas. He met Vera Beard of Thorndale in 1933 at Gruene Hall when she was a student at Southwest Texas State Teachers? College. They were married in 1936. They moved from San Antonio to Thorndale in 1945, where he ranched until his death. He was a member of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department, Southwest Cattle Raisers? Association, Beef Breeders? Association and Trinity United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and his wife, Vera in 1993.
Mr. Bauerschlag is survived by his daughter, Diane Jones and her husband, Dick of Benson, Arizona; sons, Harry Bauerschlag and wife Jeanne of Holland and Burke Bauerschlag and wife Evelyn of Thorndale; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
