Louis Guinn Gifford and Margaret Lee Eiland were married on August 17, 1941 in Rockdale, Tx

Margaret Lee was born in Gay Hill Community October 28, 1921. She attended Gay Hill School, first through eighth grades. She played baseball, basketball, and tennis. In 1938, she started to Rockdale School and played volleyball for three years. In the 9th grade, she played tennis. She went to the Co. meet and won first place in girls singles. She graduated in 1941.

Guinn Gifford was born January 19, 1918. He attended school at San Andres and at San Gabriel. Margaret Lee and Guinn moved to a farm in San Andres community to help his Dad on a Share Crop farm. In 1950 they purchased the farm in Liberty Hill Community near Thorndale, Tx They farmed there and ran cattle and still live there. Guinn went to work for Alcoa in 1957 and retired inl 1980. They have three children, Gwendlyn Lee Gifford Zieschang, Charles Gifford, and Louis Gifford.

Burial in IOOF Cemetery, Rockdale. Rev Randy Osborn and Rev John Roark, Baptist ministers, officiated. She was born 10/28/1921 in Milam Co. to Calvin Levy and Frieda Henke Eiland. She resided in Thorndale most of her life and also lived in the San Andrews Comm. She was a homemaker. Married Guinn Gifford on 8/17/1941 in Rockdale. Preceded in death by husband, Guinn Gifford on 7/16/1994; daughter, Gwendolyn Gifford Zieschang and her parents. She was a member of San Gabriel Baptist Church. Survivors: 2 sons & wives, Charles & Linda Gifford of Rockdale and Louis & Becky Gifford of Rockdale; son-in-law, Curtis Zieschang of Thorndale; 2 brothers, Elmer Eiland of Ennis and Elbert Eiland of Thorndale; 4 sisters, Thelmer Staffelbach of Rockdale, Lona Whiteley of Killeen, Euteva Talley of Rockdale and Lois Wilkins of Pasadena; 8 grandchildren, Royce and Randall Zieschang, Chuck, Aaron and Kaycee Gifford, Kimberly Jones, Shannon Lehmann and Tabatha Strelsky; 8 great-grandchildren.
