About Thomas Morgan Calton:
The following information is from the "Laclede Co. History" book Another neighbor who was a trader
was "Uncle" Tom Calton. He was always a welcome visitor about lamb selling time. We knew he always
paid top prices and lambs were difficult to take to market. Sometimes he would be gone several days
driving the lambs home to the railroad to ship to market. But "Aunt" Mary Ann and the children kept
the work done at home and were happy to have the extra money from the profits he made." Sources: The
Calton Family Tree compiled in 1981 by Mr. & Mrs. F. Calton Source received October 1998 from Donald
W. Richardson quotes name as Morgan Thomas Calton.
