1 NOTE BIOGRAPHY:      Left Catholic church just before his marriage to Lenora Baier.
2 CONT Experienced persecution from members of that faith in his community.  Daughter
2 CONT Frances Molitor was poisoned with striknine at an early age because of his
2 CONT action to leave the church.
2 CONT      Was a farsighted farmer. Was able to keep the family farm during the
2 CONT Great Depression. The farmhouse was built over the original "soddy"  (sod
2 CONT house)built by his parents. Stories are told in the family about that first
2 CONT year that they lived in the soddy, how snakes had laid their eggs in the mud,
2 CONT and how the eggs hatched and the little snakes came wriggling out of the mud
2 CONT walls of the soddy.
2 CONT      My memories of my grandfather include picking asparagus with him one
2 CONT bright spring day, and having a wonderful dinner that night. I also remember
2 CONT spending Christmas with my grandparents every year until they died. We always
2 CONT opened the presents on Christmas eve, then we'd have to go to bed.  I was
2 CONT always sick from the long trip in a smoke-filled car.

1 NOTE BIOGRAPHY:        Lenora was raised a very staunch Catholic. After her
2 CONT marriage to Charles Molitor, he convinced her to leave that church-an act for
2 CONT which she was shunned by her family and friends.
2 CONT        She was known for her beautiful crochet work. My mother told stories of
2 CONT her sense of humor. How she would tease two children fighting over a toy by
2 CONT first giving the toy to one and watch the other cry, and then take the toy
2 CONT from the first child and give it to the other and watch the first child cry,
2 CONT and laugh all the while.
2 CONT        My grandmother played the piano, having come from a musical family.

2 CONT original cemetery which also has an iron fence. Located up a little hill in
2 CONT timber.  Beautiful tall trees and rolling country side.  Perkins' land is
2 CONT adjacent to Aden land. Doc. Cunningham, Fairview, TN owns all land where
2 CONT cemetery is located. "Aden: community had a PO, school, etc.  Fairview is
2 CONT closest town to Cem. This is near "Aden" Creek.  "Cunningham" cem was
2 CONT originally the Aden cem.

2 CONT Spartanburg Co., and Pendleton Co., SC are the same person, wife Agnes YOUNG,
2 CONT who is named as the sister of William YOUNG in his 1791 will, Spartanburg., SC.
2 CONT   From the locations found in the deeds, names of witnesses, etc. in both
2 CONT counties that the children of Jacob Earnest SR and His wife Agnes YOUNG were:
2 CONT Jacob, Jr., Aaron, Thomas, Leadiwick, Nathaniel, Jenny, Mary (wife of Thomas
2 CONT Caudill), and unnamed daughter wife of Wm MEEDS.  Jacob Sr. died 1803 in
2 CONT Pendleton Co.,SC leaving an unfinished will which does not name all of his
2 CONT children; he was ill at the time and called for his friend to whom he told the
2 CONT will; either he did not finish the will, the friend didn't remember everything
2 CONT that was said, or most probably he had already given the older children, Aaron
2 CONT who was already in KY, Jacob Jr., who had already moved to Edgefield Co., SC
2 CONT and Thomas, their shares.  The 1800 census shows one more male than is
2 CONT accounted for, --could be another relative living in the household. Leadiwick
2 CONT and Nathaniel are the two youngest sons. It appears that Jenny may not have
2 CONT married.  Aaron, Thomas, Leadiwick, Nathaniel, Thomas CAUDILL and Wm MEEDS all
2 CONT remove to Warren Co., KY, with Thomas being in the part that became Edmonson
2 CONT Co., in 1825; Leadiwick and Nathaniel move on to Sullivan Co.,IN.  I further
2 CONT conclude from the records found that William EARMEST SR. also found in
2 CONT Spartanburg Co., SC with deeds that place him in the same neighborhood as
2 CONT Jacob EARNEST and deeds found in 1799 & 1804 where he sells his property, then
2 CONT he appears on the 1805 Logan Co., KY tax list; signs the marriage bonds of
2 CONT Aaron's children after Aaron has died in 1814: has land transactions with
2 CONT Leadiwick EARNEST; that he is a brother to Jacob EARNEST SR.  They are
2 CONT possible sons of Henry EARNEST, who died in Spartanburg Co., SC with a
2 CONT daughter Rachel wo married William LINDSAY.

2 CONT Spartanburg Co., and Pendleton Co., SC are the same person, wife Agnes YOUNG,
2 CONT who is named as the sister of William YOUNG in his 1791 will, Spartanburg., SC.
2 CONT   From the locations found in the deeds, names of witnesses, etc. in both
2 CONT counties that the children of Jacob Earnest SR and His wife Agnes YOUNG were:
2 CONT Jacob, Jr., Aaron, Thomas, Leadiwick, Nathaniel, Jenny, Mary (wife of Thomas
2 CONT Caudill), and unnamed daughter wife of Wm MEEDS.  Jacob Sr. died 1803 in
2 CONT Pendleton Co.,SC leaving an unfinished will which does not name all of his
2 CONT children; he was ill at the time and called for his friend to whom he told the
2 CONT will; either he did not finish the will, the friend didn't remember everything
2 CONT that was said, or most probably he had already given the older children, Aaron
2 CONT who was already in KY, Jacob Jr., who had already moved to Edgefield Co., SC
