Lawrence 23 Aug 1859 in Callaway County, Missouri; died 9 Aug 1885 in Old Auxvasse Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Callaway County, Missouri, at age 62. David was a member of the Old Auxvasse Presbyterian Church. According to the newspaper report of his death he was cooling off outside the church before the service. It started to rain and he and a friend, Mr. Robert Woodson, started walking toward the church. Lightning struck them both, killing David; buried in Old Auxvasse Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Callaway County, Missouri.
