Tip

Remember to let your computer do the searching for you. Netscape uses the pull-down "Edit -> Find in Page" or Microsoft Internet Explorer uses the pull-down "Edit -> Find (on This Page)". You can also use the shortcut of pressing the "CTRL" and "F" buttons at the same time within either of these browsers instead. No matter which way you start find, it will ask you for what you are searching for. You can then enter a surname or whatever else you are looking for and it will find the first occurrence on the currently displayed web page. Note that this find does not look at any other content on the Internet for you like a search engine would. This is a technique that can be useful after you have arrived on a particular web page because a search engine indicated it had what you are looking for.
