Virginia Grants book 7 page 183 Patrick Henry gov. of
Commonwealth of Virginia Treasury Warrant # 20 issued
2/12/1780 500 acres of land to John McGee Salt River
adjoining Robert and Samuel McAfee's land

Then Land Office Treasury Warrant # 2745 granted
2/19/1783 unto John McGee assignee of Robert McAfee
500 acres by Gov Charles Scott dated 10/17/1808 in
Frankfort KY
Recorded Book I page 222


Taken from the internet John was born abt 1730 and
died in Mercer Co. KY 1/1/1810 he was a private in
John Murray's Co. of Botetourt Co. Va. Militia under
command of Gen. Andrew Lewis at the battle of Point
Pleasant

now in some part of the Western Country  and to such
