DALRY, AYRSHIRE:

I am looking for information on my ggggreatgrandfather and his family.  His name is John McGee and he was married to a Jane Archibald, (BMD dates unknown).  They had a daughter, my gggreatgrandmother named Ann who was born in about 1819 in Dalry, Ayr, Scotland and died October 25, 1897 in Kilmaurs.  Ann McGee married William Hood (abt. 1817) on March 20, 1837 in Kilmarnock, Ayr.  Ann and William had a daughter named Jane (b: Feb. 17, 1838), they came to Canada either before Jane was born or after, they had a son named William (b: about 1840 in Nova Scotia, Canada) and another son named John (b: about July 1841, also in Nova Scotia, Canada).  Sometime between 1841 and 1849 William Hood, the father, died as Ann Hood went back to Scotland and married on August 18, 1849 Alexander Easton in Kilmaurs, Scotland.  I am looking for information on John McGee, Jane Archibald and whether Ann McGee Hood Easton had any brothers or sisters.  I have most of the information on Ann McGee's children.

I have the marriage record of my gr. grandfather, John B. McGee. I got a copy from Scotland. He married Margaret Blackley in 1866. They had two children in Rutherglen, Lanark, Scotland and then emigrated to the US, Maryland. They had more children, one of which was James B. McGee, spouse, Veni Michaels. Their son James G. McGee was my father. I think my gr. grandfather moved to Morgantown, W. Va.after 1880. I would like to know where John B. and if wife are buried. I would like to trace my roots back farther and see if in the 1700's my relatives could have been Scots-Irish. Anyone who recognizes these names please let me know.
