        Oct 1823 George, his wife and their three daughters left Green Co PA
        and floated down the Ohio River on a raft with two cows, two horses,
        household stuff, they settled about two miles south-west of Ripley
        WV on Mill Creek. In 1838 he got a land grant for 90 acres on the
        banks of the Creek
