* Henry Linkous b. 1742 Germany, d. 1822
     Family tradition says Henry was married and had children, who remained
     in Germany when he was sent to America by the King of Germany to fight
     with the British in the Rev. War. Taken prisioner in New York. He liked
     America, stayed, married again and had 9 children of whom all lived in
     VA except for George and Adam. Probably a blacksmith, in his will left
     his tools to son John

        1813 commissioned Ensign in 75th Reg., 19th Brigade and 30th Div.
        1815 reccommened to the Governor to be appointed Lieut. in the Light
        Inf. Co., 75th Regiment, 2nd Battalion. He and wife Btty lived their
        lives in Montgomery Co VA. Died same year, but after, his father

        Her family moved to Pulaski Co VA
