* John Child
     John was supposedly baptized at St. John's Cathedral, London; an old
     letter indicates he was in St. Thomas in 1833...probably Canada West
  m. Isabella Munro b. cir 1800 d. Aug 1884
     According to bible records Isabella's parents lived in Jamaica
  *  Matthew John Child b. Nov 1830 d. Oct 23 1908
        Matthew was discovered to have been living in Warsaw, IN, with his
        sister under the alias of John Steele when he died. He was head
        cashier at 1st National Bank of Lisbon, OH, 1878-98. Supposedly
        the Firestone brothers talked him into making an unsecured loan and
        he wound up being accused of embezzlement, because of threats against
        him and threats to kidnap Janet and Alberta if he told the truth
     m. Jane "Janet" McKenzie Jan 1 1855, b. Sep 18 1830 d. Jan 12 1918
        Jane and Matthew married at the home of Donald McKenzie in Ekfrid
        township, they then settled in St. Thomas, CW, where their first two
        children were born. Sometime between Apr 1857 and May 1859 they moved
        to New Lisbon, OH, where two more children were born.

     *  Edith Jane Child b. May 26 1859 Lisbon OH
           Christened by Reverend Herrim(sp?).
        m. Alexander Lewis Matthews May 26 1886 at home of M J Child
        *  Margaret Matthews b. Mar 13 1887
           m. Robert Kirk
           *  Margaret Kirk
     *  Annie Child b. Sep 6 1860 Lisbon OH; d. 1959
        m. James Bertram Callahan May 23 1890
           b. Jun 6 1844 d. Sep 6 1908
        Descendants of Annie Child and James Callahan

  *  E W Child
        Records show Matthew living with his sister (E W Walburn) when he
        died, and Isabella dying at the home of E Walbourn; which means E W
        was living in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada in Aug 1884, and in Warsaw,
        IN in Oct 1908.
