Welcome to the Sussex County Genealogical Society. Our society group was originally created informally by Francis R. "Pat" Bray, Jr. a Certified Genealogist Records Specialist in partnership with the Rehoboth Beach Public Library in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware in 2003. The organization was formalized in May of 2004.

The purpose of SCGS is to encourage people who are interested in pursuing their ancestral heritage by stimulating their interest and providing instruction at monthly meetings. Trips to repositories of genealogical interest are scheduled regularly.

Monthly meetings are held in the upstairs meeting room of the Rehoboth Beach Public Library on 226 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Special meetings will occasionally be held at other times.

Next Meeting SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 18th

Our first official meeting of the 2004-2005 calendar year will be held on September 18th at the Rehoboth Beach Library at 10:30 AM. We meet in the upstairs conference room (take the elevator in the front lobby). Ms. Jeanne Davis will be our guest speaker. She will speak on "Resources on the Internet.
